white house burning on a hill
the little house is burning still
the tiny trees, the mountain stream
dream the dreams i used to dream

 

 

the burning house is a symbol of rebirth, transformation and change.

left:

the king of crows abdicated his throne and his rabbit scepter was passed to his uncle.

eventually the kingdom fell into ruin but the scepter remains and is housed in the crow museum

some say it was a rain gauge, a device for collecting tears and calculating the days and hours longing for spring.

it is still there, covered in blackberries but no one looks for it anymore.

they played keep-away because

the collector needed to see the thing in order to let the seller know he couldn't afford to buy it.

several words were gathered and arranged. the boy was certain he had explained his motives and cleared up any confusion.
later that day he made a cup of tea and thought about his poetry.
the crow was a fool for believing.
how are you he asked. i am fine. how are you he asked back.
